Details

The DS215TCDAG1BZZ01A is a GE Turbine Control Printed Circuit Card.

The DS215TCDAG1BZZ01A is a Digital I/O Board. The TCDA board can be found within the digital I/O cores <Q11> and <Q51>. It has the power to process output signals coming from the two TCRA boards and the input signals coming from the DTBB and DTBA boards. These signals are then normally sent across the IONET to the terminal board CTBA and the TCQC board.

The DS215TCDAG1BZZ01A has several types of connectors that do different things. The JP connector has the ability to transfer power from the TCPS board to the <Q11> and <Q51> cores. The JX1 is a connection for the IONET signals that is a shielded twisted-pair connector. The JX2 connector is also used for IONET signals. The JQ connector goes to the JQR plug on the DTBA board and has the power to ferry signals to the TCDA board. The JO1 link is usually not used with the <Q11> core but in other cores, it is used for communication and can write the contact output signals going to the TCRA board that is in location 4. The JO2 connection can be utilized with the <Q11> and <Q51> cores and the output signals it collects are transcribed to the TCRA board that is positioned in location 5. The JR connection can ferry the input signals that are coming from the DTBB card to the TCDA card. The DTBB board is linked to the JRR socket.

The GE Digital I/O Board DS200TCDAG1B features one microprocessor and multiple programmable read-only memory (PROM) modules. It also contains 1 block of 10 LEDs and 2 50-pin connectors. The GE Digital I/O Board DS200TCDAG1B also is populated with 8 jumpers and 1 LED that is visible from the side of the board. The 50-pin connectors carry signals that are received by the board from other components in the drive. Some of the signals carried by the 50-pin connectors are transmitted by other boards and components to the GE Digital I/O Board DS200TCDAG1B. The 50-pin connectors are connected to ribbon cables that are comprised of 50 individual strands of wire and each strand is insulated from the other strands to provide a separate signal. Each strand is made of several wires which are easily broken or disconnected from the connector at the end of the ribbon cable.  If a connection to the ribbon cable is broken the signal is lost also. It might require running the diagnostic tools to find the missing signal. So to avoid any missing signals, follow some guidelines when you handle the ribbon cables.

Pulling on the ribbon cable to remove it from the board can break the wire connections inside it. Instead, use the plastic connector to disconnect it from the 50-pin connector on the board. Firmly hold the connector and pull it straight out of the connector. Move the ribbon cable out of the way but don’t disturb the cable routing of the ribbon cable in the interior of the drive.

The DS200TCDAG1BDB is used as an interface for contact inputs and relay outputs.

The DS200TCDAG1BDB I/O board works within the Mark V’s <R1> core.   Within this core are other boards like TCEA boards, TCQE, TCQA, UCPB, and STCA boards.

The DS200TCDAG1BDB circuit board includes many jumper switches that offer hardware configuration options.  This includes the J1 through J8 jumpers.  The J4 through J6 jumpers are used for IONET addressing, and should be left at factory settings.  J7 enables stall timer and J8 is for test enable.

The board also contains components like an LED panel, resistor network arrays, pin connectors, integrated circuits, vertical pin plug connectors, capacitors, and relays.  The board is factory-drilled to facilitate mounting options and has been marked along the edge to help with installation alignment.
