When you obtain a replacement GE RST Extended Analog I/O Board DS200TCQBG1B it ships to you without erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) modules. The EPROM modules store the firmware and programming the logic device uses to process information. However, the EPROM modules can easily be removed from the old board and installed on the new board. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry the module off the socket. Use care to avoid hitting or scratching other components on the board while you remove the modules. Store the modules in a safe place until you need them. Wear a wrist strap whenever you work on the board or handle the modules.
